Just ask her out, whats to be afraid of not like she will kick you in the balls. You will feel better even if she rejects you after you ask. (sounds like a done deal though)
Don't think of her as a girl just a mate, she will have to be a mate anyway for things to work so dont build her up. find out what she likes and ask her about it and you probably wont need to talk anyway.
You've probably known her for longer than you liked her or she was avaliable, did you talk to her then.
Agree movies are a bad early date find something else like sky diving, bowling, roller skating, museum, Aquarium, Zoo, it summer go to the pool, shopping if you can tollerate it.
Dont worry about fancy plans just march up and tell her you like her and you want to take her out. Only plan you need or want is where to eat after an activity and lunch on the week end is probably easier for you to organize
I have an interesting idea for you though, think of something that scares you more like say doing a nude run around the playground at lunch time. Then if you dont ask her out the next time you talk to her do that other thing.
There is lots of good advice in this thread, all that is at risk is your pride, we know you would perfer to put your hand in the insinkerator than ask her out (is terifying thing to do), but that will leave scars your pride will heal without a mark.
I have a mate ugly as sin but goes out with a never ending stream of women, some ugly some stunners, his secert is just asking anybody and every girl he sees out with no fear.

oh fuck man, i really cbf.
it doesnt affect me at all, so im going to leave it be for a while.
so many things are going on that i havent told you guys (cuz they are really personal and i could get in trouble for saying them) and that has affected my judgement a lot.
i have to tell her that eventually, but im just making alot of bad decisions right now.
i just want to have a merry christmas and a happy new year, with out worrying about a girl.

this has happened before, and it ended up real bad, and it was in another country, so i was stuck with this chick for another 10 days :S

Nope...according to his last post he got into trouble in Thailand some years back with the police and was stuck in a jail cell with a "girl" for 10 days and doesn't want to get hurt again!!! Soz Mandatory...had to be done |
