so finally evga brought out the new version of this. now upon installing i have come across an issue with fonts. it looks like it installs a font that overwrites the existing arial font (i think it is that one)

The first thing i noticed was that the fonts for facebook and youtube changed, which i did not really worry about. The next thing i have noticed after installing this is that Blizzard games will not run correctly. I think it has something to do with the screen capturing aspect of the software but in Diablo 3 the cursor will disappear after a couple of min of gameplay and then crash the game when you change the video settings. Star Craft 2 will not load any map. it will just crash.

I would probably stick with the old version of the software for now or use MSI afterburner.

as for the font issue - i copyed the font folder from another install of win 8.1 to resolve that particular issue.

I must have been lucky as it doesn't appear to have changed my fonts.

i do hope that it is a bug for my PC... though the bug list on the evga forum seems to be quite long.

After your original post I did a quick google search and found a number of posts form people with the same issue with you. I checked the version number of the Arial Regular font on my main PC where I installed Precision X 16 and compare it to my laptop. Both had the same version number, filesize and dates. Fonts on facebook and Youtube are still the same, so somehow I've managed to dodge that bullet.

yeah it is strange... are you on 8.1 or 8/7? that may explain the difference.

the font is not the big thing that was something i fixed with just an import of the font folder, the biggest problem was games not working with it installed (mainly blizzard games) unless i didn't uninstall something that was conflicting with the new software...

the sad thing is when i uninstalled this again it also removes the font so i had to install it again.
