Yeah, the big question is what SteamOS is actually like. It sounds like it could improve the PC platform for gaming by a fair bit, even if simply by offering an alternative to Windows, but we need to know what it'll look like, and how it'll run.
Interesting, to say the least.

Source engine games already run natively in Linux now. At least in Ubuntu.

from what i have been reading it will work pretty much on any version now. Dont know how much effort it is to get it to work, but have read that it works
