Hey guys.

League of Legends Oceanic Servers were released this week.

They are currently in "Beta" which means that you gain the ingame currency, influence points (think Warthunder Silver Lines) at the 'boosted' rate which is excellent for new players.

The servers are based in Sydney and are handling quite well (i get 30 ping Nsw north coast)

The game can be downloaded here http://oce.leagueoflegends.com/ By clicking "play now" and creating your account.

If you're thinking about swapping over, do it already. They've said as more people join the other game modes will be added. I've swapped over both my accounts and it's been going swimmingly so far.

It's actually rewarding to play skill shot champs such as Lee.

71 ping from Christchurch NZ and 31 from Auckland.

only issue is learning not to overcompensate some abilities, its pretty slick with the low ping!

EDIT: My shiity net gives me 60ish ping from Noosa in QLD (friends that live less than 5ks away get 40)

EDIT2: If you were ever thinking about making a smurf DO IT NOW!! There is double XP and IP on OCE servers until they are out of beta.
1. Create account on Na/Eu/whatever (if you want to snag a name then try a less populated server)
2. Log in on this account and transfer to OCE
3. Enjoy power leveling your smurf uberfast

My pre-existing smurf is now level 10, and you level REALLY fast. If you dont want to do normals there is another, faster (but less fun) way of power levelling, I'll say it if you ask me on TS
