yeah, it's a fine art getting a sync drop to work, but it's doable. just wish we had 20+ avid players
we could 8 man against ourselves.

though we could try the comstar TS, goad some people into fighting us

I have a sniper, light scout's, brawlers, and 1 of those annoying Jager Mech's, tried out a quick draw too, a heavy commando/highlander it's ok as a brawler. Like the sound of an A-Team of Mech's , I like it when a plan comes together.

well after last night, maybe we should all have a chat in TS about who wants in, and what we want to achieve.

first things first, a good idea was put forward, just have a forum post where people can sign up for competitive play. Not everyone has the time nor inclination to do this sorta thing, though the TM clan over in comstar has been taking a shine to us whenever we bumble over there.

as for what we want to achieve, i'd sure as hell like to have the maps to study offline to even get an idea of it.

as for tactics, it'd need to be broken down into overall protocol and map specific routines. possibly even mech specific tactics.

i know we need one lance in support setup, ie one scout, two distance mechs and a bruiser to watch their backs and deter smaller split pushes.

i really dont know what would work with an attacking lance though, anglo you seem to know more about that sorta thing, so i guess we'll need to figure that out together.

While tactics are important, execution is important too.

Having a single person (for each fight) call targets is much clearer than the mess we often find ourselves in now.

Also, everybody having the discipline to fire on that target instead of shooting at their own best target is critical.

I feel like we can make a lot of progress by working on those kinds of issues. The effectiveness of focus-fire is a huge part of what makes a team more dangerous than a random group of people.

although i have plenty of ideas at the drop of a hat, i agree, there is a difficulty in the testing them out when nobody is willing to attempt it.

we will need to figure out which player will call targets, and who's next on the line if they die etc etc

but i agree, we need teamwork to be mostly perfect before we can focus on team tactics.

Well I'm with you Sparrow. If we're on together and you want to do things in an organised way I'm certainly up for it. Maybe we could work out a time together, post a thread and see who turns up? Alternatively, maybe we could make a Google Calendar event and invite Death Inc MWO players by email?

Hmmm, well if that smurf website extracts the mech and weapons data from the live binaries - Im sure someone has extracted the maps?

...and yeah I think it is at least worth exploring competitive play - seems a good game for it. I dont mind taking a hit for the team.

Had some awesome games with garby, anglo, stuii this night. funny shit though, just noticed that my jager only has 6 rear torso Armour, it's all been shifted front which explain how the hell i wasn't dying given how aggressive i was being.

It's a must have move for any frontal jager build - gotta front load em ;-)
