Although not labelled Simcity 5 (just Simcity) it technically is. Its coming out March 7 and will use Origin. It will also be the first Simcity to have a multi player component to it! I remember some of you playing Simcity 4, so the question is: Is anyone going to buy it? I sure am. From the Closed Beta gameplay(s) that I've seen you Youtube it really does look quite good. http://www.youtube.com/user/simcityeaYour thoughts?

I still play SimCity 4, so very keen on this, with a big "HOWEVER".... They released a title called SimCity Society (or societies?) a while back, and it was the worst game you could possibly imagine. It was like being locked in a rape dungeon with a horny but well hung dungeon master... just painful.... so i might wait until it is released before buying....

I've seen heaps of complaints about the always-online DRM, stupid things like waiting in a queue for 20 mins to be able to play single player.
I personally lost interest after simcity 3000 so I don't think I'll be buying.

Hmmm, I think I will wait too now that you mention it - the preorder bonuses aren't even that good anyway.
Just wish I had seen them handing out Beta keys on Twitter before the Beta ended (it only went for the weekend) :/

a 2 day beta? wow, they'll surely find all the bugs!
I didn't mind SimCity 4, but it wasn't as good as 2000 or the sequel 3000. Hopefully SimCity 5 wont be packed full of The Sims shit.

Haha yeah. There was a lot of unavaiable stuff in the beta. I too loved SC 3000 but i had to uninstall it becase it kept crashing my computer. From what I can see, Simcity 5 has no 'Make your own Sim' crap like Simcity 4 had. A cool thing is that residents give you feedback on how your doing... I find that much more helpful when managing a city. Also there is no more shenanigans with placing water pipes or messing around with damn power lines - everything travels along roads. A problem that I see is that if you create a rectangular space [with roads] and then zone it, if the space it too big the middle will be left completely empty. I guess its a little more realistic but its still a pain creating all these fiddly streets to utilize all the space. +Free line road creater , and the city specializations feature looks interesting/

In SC4 it auto-created sub-roads in big areas of a zone, I imagine SC5 will do the same thing, and hopefully run the power and water with those auto-created roads.

Not from what ive seen in the beta, which is annoying. Then again its the beta and a whole lot of stuff was disabled.

Very keen for SimCity. Would have played SimCity 4 more, but it just crashed too often.
