Also. Do you have more than 1 laptop or pc to confirm the modem isn't doing it. Cause if one drops and the others stay on could be a dud port on the modem.
psych0 and I use the same internet. Both get dropouts simultaneously. |

http://www.wireshark.org/ run that on your PC it monitors every packet your PC sends and recieves each type of packet has a dif colour try see what causes the dropout mine would run fine for about 5min, then you would see a sort of "bottleneck" (eg, heaps of red packets start bunching up and not sending) optus were saying this was 100% my issue, my hardware or internal wiring... i ran this for 4 days on 2 machines and then sent them the results, had a free tech out in 2 days

i would def advise that to your ISP, that would be the cause of your drop outs. they would need to do some fault finding for it. i had to go through this last time i had adsl and they gave me some bull crap of ahve to pay for it if there was nothing there but they found an issue
you could call them on the line to show them how bad it is for example

true, i also ran wire shark for a little bit and all is well except for it has an issue with the following ip 69.4.231.52 Everywhere that ip shows up the line in wireshark is red but everything else is fine. |
