Ive been on iphones for prob over 3 years now and im getting pissed with the iTunes/one PC thing.
My contract is up in a few months so I will be getting a new phone.
I wana give Android a go, but I don’t wana get locked into a 2yr plan on a phone that I don’t like.

So I wana “test” a cheap android phone over the next month or so I try it out before I make the decision to leave Apple (if at all).

If I happy with it, ill get a high end Android phone and look what’s available at the time.

So basically, im looking for one for under about $200 to “test the Android water”.

Is it better to get a 2nd hand one, or a new cheapo model?
Got some suggestions on models to look out for that are cheap and wont give me a back first Android experience?

Well if your buying outright like i do go into some of the phone shops and ask to have a play with it actually on and functioning, find a model you like then go eBay and find either a fairly new second hand or brand new one online. The difference in price is pretty big from shop to online

As for models.....i dont have a clue im an iPhone person too

I'm a fan of the Samsung Galaxy, but too be honest their isn't a difference between the first and second one.

I have a second hand HTC legend that my mum upgraded from. It isn't the fastest but it might be what you want to dip your toes in. As it belongs to mum I'd have to ask if she is willing to sell

go into any of the telstra dealers, and suggest you are in the market for one, I had one on demo for 3 months (HTC Desire), outright bought it for $400 ex demo pricing

Currently using the samsung galaxy S2 and its great, for if/when you want to switch to a more high-end model.

sorry smiddi, asked mum and she wanted to hold onto it incase she breaks her one.

I think the main issue was she doesnt trust these internet folk I hang out with. Cant say i blame her after she saw cowcar lurking in the bushes....

I ended up getting a cheap tablet running android to have a play.
If I like it ill go Android for my phone, else ill get another iPhone.
