The Russian military will be (possibly are) reviewing whats called the "AK-12" as the new standard service rifle. Not many details are known other than it's expected to be fielded in 2012, but I found a picture of what looks like a possible AK-12

So far I havent heard of any official pictures of the AK-12, but this did come up while searching

I believe it was only a few months ago they cancelled a shipment of AK-74s, maybe getting ready for the new AK (although it's still gonna be a few months til its expected to be fielded)
