Okay so this is what happened.

Gf turned on laptop saw windows updates did windows update; razer mouse update was in their installed this update now mouse does not register with windows 7 because apparently the new driver doesnt work with win7 ... I have an useless mouse atm.

Any ideas people?

Roll back the drivers in the Device Manager.
You should be able to do it all by keyboard with some effort if you have to.

Okay yes it is a laptop.  However the mouse thinks its a toaster.  doesnt even make the usb plugged in noise.

does it work with your other pc?
does another mouse work with your laptop?
have you removed all the razer drivers programs and just plugged it in?
have you tried another usb port?

Have tried in another PC. No dice.
Yes another mouse works.
Have come to conclusion that firmware inside razor doesnt work on windows 7 anymore...
Trying on XP tomorrow.

I have also tried turning it off and on again and all usb ports.

Maybe it's just shagged, I've got some razor stuff and I'd say the build quality is average at best...

Thats funny though. My Lachesis only worked if I did that windows update. But go to their site and redownload the drivers. They work on win7.
