Ok recently upgraded my windows from vista to Win 7.
I regularly install programs on a different HDD from windows.
I have just relinked steam in the past and this time and saved having to reinstall.
Just noticed I can do the Same with COH after it wanted to do a 1.8 gig patch.
Can I expect the same from other games?
And if I try to uninstall COH will it only target the new install.

How do I make windows recognise it now so the patch will work

You need to go through the registry find the entries for the games and update them
Unless you can't install as lost disk or something it is alot easier to re install
