Its a growth bone and is completely natural in a child of 8..no editing here...none at all, move along..these are not the droids you are looking for

Medial epicondyle fracture of the humerus has been my opinion to Bohica (not hard to diagnose the massive chip of floating bone...although the fucking hospital somehow managed to miss that Huh? )......on top of her radial head fracture..poor little bugger. Sad

Please answer it in your normal fashion.

Well Bohica im glad you asked...........

Fair call...dont know what I was thinking!!

Well Bohica...I'm glad you asked!

Having looked at the X-Ray and in my medical opinion I'd say her neck is out.

A decent trip to the Chiro and she'll be right in no time at all..in regards to that piece of bone you see..thats clearly just a vertebrae thats out thats all...nothing to worry about, they'll slip her patella back in line with her femur and she'll be right as rain.

Hope that helps,

Chalice M.D.

Thanks for the piece of mind Dr Chal...

I thought i would fill you in a little, that bone fragment is actual the epicondyle bone itself, at her age it is a floater, and not in the traditional sense of the word either.

hey bohica, I have a mate who's a radiologist, sent him your pics... he said he couldn't really say from the photos of the xrays but suggests you should talk to your GP and order a CT scan, if the xrays aren't clearly showing a break

Breaks clearly in the radial head, He was wondering how they missed that floating piece of bone...until I told him about the fact that its normal to have a floating Epicondyle in an 8yr old of course  Lips Sealed

Well at least they could have let you know about the floating bone, so you dont flip out when you notice that it looks like your daughter is missing a chunk of her bone........
