The Story of sleeping Beauty,

In the story we all know from the Brothers Grimm the girl pricks her finger falls asleep and is woken by a stolen kiss from a prince.

The real story dates back much much longer/older than that and in an earlier version, the prince actually raped the sleeping beauty, this however did not wake her.

She carried twins to him, and delivered them, this also did not wake her.

After the babies were born, the climbed towards her breasts for a feed, one found her finger and sucked out the poison thorn that kept her asleep, and she awoke.

Then again, there's also Norse mythology, where the god Loki took on the form of a mare, got shagged by a stallion, and gave birth to an eight-legged foal. Kinky bastard, huh?

the stallion he got shagged by was Odin, in the guise of a horse. after a few more cunning deciets Loki son was killed and his intestines were used to bind loki in the centre of the earth where a poisonous snake drips venom into his eyes 24/7 untill the end of the world. Loki's wife is there catching the dripping venom in a bowl untill it fills up then she must walk away to empty it allowing some drips to go into Loki's eyes, during which time he abuses the fuck out of her verbally and she smiles along.

And the reason he was punished thus in the first place was because he orchestrated the death of Baldur, whom all the world adored and promised to never harm him (barring I think mistletoe, an arrow made of it slew Baldur).

Also - it's not the end of the world, it's RAGNAROK!! It just sounds so much cooler.
