I was thinking of getting PR because BC2 decided to turn homosexual on me and get really, really big updates.
so I have a few questions
1. Is it BF2 I need for PR 2. how big is the download? 3. what are the weapons like? 4. what are the vehicles like? 5. what are the maps like (size and terrain)
if it's from BF2 I'm guessing the maps are HUUUUUGEE and snipers are usually effective only when sniping snipers. (thats essentially what my BC2 sniping experience was like)

1. Yes BF2 2. Big 3. Fucking insane..its Project REALITY..these weapons and the way they fire etc (bullet drop eg. ) is spot fuck on. 4. As above 5. Bigger than anything you've ever played on B4 (if you start walking..in about 1/2 hr or more you'll be about 1/2 way across a bigger type map) ...Mountainous, Urban..the lot.

Sniping, if setup in a good spot, is effective against all infantry. Run & Gun in PR, like in real life, is generally ineffective, so if you're a good sniper you'll have plenty of time while people crouch to line up their shot at something.

PR is all about realistic military tactics and team work. Snipers are used for intel and spotting troop movements etc not really rambo style guys getting thousands of kills. Everyone usually gets under 10-15 kills a game. You can play a 2 hour round and kill 5 people and it be the most fun you have every had. Jump on any night and hop on to a DI squad and well show u what PRs all about. Also vehicles are F'ing awesome.

I have never played with a full DI squad and hence found It very boring at times, it is the total opposite of BC2, you may wait literally ten minutes to see someone and then you miss them and you have to wait again! The one game I played with chal was very good though. Basically I don't play it unless others are on, and of course ts is essential for entertainment and team work

PR is a game that can really suck if you're not in a good squad or when one team has more good squads than the other team.

but ghillie suits are awesome so he gets a hat and thats it? oh well, is it a beret? everyone knows beret's make your vision twice as good as it used to be. anyway, seeing as how its based on reality I probably wont be sniping because in reality they can spend hours staying in one spot. I'll look for BF2 in EB somewhere for hopefully $15 or soemthing then DL PR. seeing as how I hear BF2 players think BC2 maps are small, I might be hogging vehicles the whole time.

My advice, 1. Stay clear of vehicles and just grunt it for a while. Loosing vehicles cost alot of tickets and can take some time to respawn. 2. Play Co-Op to familarise yourself with the vehicles,.. especially choppers. Also good for familarising yourself with the limited kits. 3. Have a read of our tactical manual (which i find has been removed,.... bugger)
No kit is better than others, each has a purpose in the game. Personally i love the Auto-Rfileman kit,.. nothing like finding a nice covering position and mowing down the enemy as they try to move position. Otherwise i will play rifleman, maybe medic if no-one else does. But very rarely,.. if ever, do i jump in a vehicle, they are just too big of a target for the enemy
