Micro payments are the future. Might as well get used to it. It defeats piracy and means people can potentially spend more tha  they would with a simple purchase. Everyone wins as I see it. Ryanair uses a similar model. You can get from a to be for fuck all, but if you want to take a dump or have some food during thw flight you have to pay.

I'm fine with micropayments when the game doesn't cost $90 at release, or when you can earn any of the things you can buy through hard work/grinding. I don't like paid exclusives unless they're simply a re-skin. If you can pay real money for a gun/whatever that is significantly better than anything you can get in the game through effort, it's only a little short of game approved hax.

I'm done pre-ordering battlefield games, so I'll wait a month after release an see what the general opinion is.
That said I'm happy about it being a little different then Bf3/Bf4 a bit off innovation doesn't hurt, also at the rate there adding old BF2 content (Commander in BF4, zip lines + Grapple hooks in Hardline) by Battlefield 8 we should have a TRUE successor to BF2.
