Hi All,
I'm looking for some new TV series to (totally legitimately purchase PDT_Armataz_01_14) but I'm drawing a blank. Already have all the main-streamers (Spartacus, Dexter, Walking dead etc) but list them up anyways.. theres probably one or two myself or others have missed.

- Almost Human, definitely worth a watch.

- The Blacklist (James Spader, criminal genius assist FBI agents in apprehending the worst of the worst while furthering his own secret agenda. Brilliantly fun to watch and my current favourite).

- Season 3 of the BBC's Sherlock is out now as well *yay!*

Just started watching Daredevil (Marvel TV series) and Knights of Sidonia (anime).

It's a struggle to not marathon them both, and KoS gives me a modern-day Robotech feel as I watch it, so damn good...!! Two season of each out, with the third in the works I believe.

I finished watching Falling Skies was an interesting end to it all.  Also watching Dark Matter which I find pretty good.

Started watching True Detectives.

This is from S1 E4 I think, a 6 minute cut, fucking awesome film making.

To give it some context the long cut in Children of Men was 7.45min. I would have posted the Children of Men vid, but no one has put the whole thing on Youtube. You should check it out, it's not a great movie story wise, but it is impressive film making.

I agree with Bageled that Children of Men is well worth watching. It looks really good. They used some interesting filming techniques that really paid off. There's a really good scene in a car.

I find long cuts really good for suspense. I'm not sure if it's because it gives you a solid frame of reference (even if it's moving) to develop immersion, or if it's just something that's so unused that you're anticipating a cut to more information.

I've only heard good things about True Detective. I'll have to watch it when I get a chance. I've enjoyed Woody Harrelson in stuff before, and he has a house on Maui.
