Install ARMA2_OA_Build_103718.exe
Place DayZero in your Operation Arrowhead base directory, for me that is "C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead" - The "@DayZero" folder should be next to your "@DayZ" folder.

What's different?
Originally, our servers were called SE9 and SE10 and we used vanilla DayZ. Back when the hacking was at it's worst, we decided to go private and start enforcing a whitelist. DayZero started as just some server-side modifications to stop the AS50, M107 and L85 thermal from spawning. Then we started rewriting code to fix bugs, we wrote our own whitelisting system, our own admin tools, our own anti-cheating system. Eventually, back when 1.7.2.6 had been out for two months and no new releases were on the horizon we decided to fork DayZ so we could fix bugs and add new content. The list below is not complete, I'm sure I've missed a lot. Some of these things you might recognize from vanilla DayZ, but they were first seen here!
Weapons overhauled and balanced.
Buildings in chernarus
Completely rewritten server core for much better server performance.
30 second logoff timer. Disconnecting early means your character will stay ingame and "surrender".
No more peripheral dots!
Increased mobility. Your weapon barrel will no longer get stuck like you're some kind of japanese robot.
You can do running jumps (bunnyjumping) over stuff!
Streetlights are on during night.
New vehicles! AN-2 Biplane, Gliders, MH-6J Little Bird, Mi17 Civilian, Humvee (unarmed), Technicals
OLD bandit skin makes a return! (The regular DayZ bandit skin has issues with backpacks)
Camo and Ghille skins look different depending on your alignment (Hero/Bandit/Survivor)
Some DayZ functions have been rewritten for better clientside performance.
Revamped loot tables. More russian weapon loot. Less AKMs. Less DMR. Less M14.
Weapon overhaul! Most classic DayZ weapons have been replaced with new models and sounds from the excellent RobertHammer weapon packs, which we have then tweaked and optimized.
Crash sites are overhauled, with different factions and loot tables.
Temperature system + icon removed for performance reasons.
"In combat" system + icon removed for performance/utility reasons (We have our own system)
Claim your kills by studying the body.
Zombies have new textures! (Created by GenesisCrys and TOPMO3!)
