There were quite a few games missing but still the point is put across in how far games have progress now.

yeah no goldeneye is a big miss, as is no Flashpoint (but putting in Arma 2?)....and whilst i am sure this comment will get some derision, no Call of Duty is also a big miss..

i would say it was focused on PC gaming and the progression of the detail. COD 4 would of been in around the Deus Ex 2 region i would say...

Yeah i'll make the point that was made in the reddit comments for this video, it seems more focused on the nice changeover between videos than actually being a progression of FPS graphics over the years.

That being said, fuck the CryENGINE is a beautiful thing.

Crysis 1 raped my old rig back then, but that was one hell of a leap graphic wise to what was around then, it was awesome Kiss

doom 3 brought out some amazing texturing in its day. i'd say that 2005 onward really leapt ahead in graphics of games, compared to the small leaps of earlier. although in saying that i think the earlier hurdles were proper 3d mapping and so forth, i mean when quake really brought the mouse into play way back yonder games changed heaps.
