Homeworld is one of the original rts, and the one that created the space rts scene, game like sins of the solar empire find their roots from homeworld.

I personally logged hundreds of hours in the original. Most fun I've probably had in a rts, comparable to the enjoyment I had from red alert, and age of empires 2.
Anyway its 30 bucks on steam at the moment.
I strongly advise for you guys to pick its up, but as it is a remastered edition there have been slight changes. check it out.

Its release date is for the 26th of Feb in Australia.

Also it had a great modding community back in the day, so playing star wars, star trek, and stargate where all mods for it.
From what the devs are saying they a providing the community with a great modding kit, so there should be some awesome mods for this a few months after its release.

Completed 1, mostly through 2 now.  Great graphical updates, not too much to gripe about.
