What are some of the best gigs everyone's been to?
What bands are good live?
Who puts on a good show?
Any good stories from gigs you've been at?

Both of those sound sweet.
Best bands I've seen: Wolfmother, U2, AC/DC.
Also Push Over festival, pretty sweet little gig at the abbotsford convent. So many good local acts.

Apart from pub giggs:

Carmen @ VSO, can't remember when but we were in 5th row, even Jeff sat in rows behind Smiley
Depeche Mode Devotional Tour Paris 1993
Depeche Mode Exotic Tour Melbourne 1994

Paris was interesting 'cause I just finished 10 months as an exchange student in Foix, southern France, foothills of the Pyrenees (great skiing).  Was on planning the trip back to Oz (via train to Sweden and one of the best European summers of my life) when I heard about the concert, got a ticket, trained up to Paris, crashed friends house and went to the concert by myself, 18 & hoping for action.

The chances were pretty good that I'd be sitting next to something pretty decent, DM being mainstream in Europe, not mostly Goth n' Gay like here, but no, the Australian stereotype of DM fan, a late 20's French geek gay guy (not that there's anything wrong with that) had ticket for the seat next to me!  Me was away from the seats and on the dance floor in front of the stage, quick as a flash.

When I got off the train in Sweden the next day I was pretty fly for a white guy with my Paris concert t-shirt on and Oz flag on the backpack (I'm still not Oz citizen but in those days it really inspired the euro ladies).  One thing led to another and before too long it was evening & I was slow dancing cheek to cheek (every set at a nightclub in Sweden they'll play a few slow numbers to give you a chance to rub up against the opposite sex, literally!) with a pretty blonde with a smile from here to here and tits out to there but that's a story for another day.
