In Nippon, nothing is out of the ordinary.  I was there on homestay last century and saw something that even Chalice would blink at

Every night after dinner when we all sat around, on the floor watching the news, the always indoor male dog, chiuaua like, would get all excited and before long the youngest son in the house would get out a bit of newpapser, place it on the floor and shape a hole with his fist which the little yapper would hump to a happy ending!

them japs sure are wierd, you ought to check out some of thier "creative" stuff, although japanese tv is bloody hilarious, you have no idea what they're saying but every part is gold
