If you have a Band/Artist/Music genre you think is awesome and would recommend to fellow clan mates post up here!

I'd recommend:
Them Crooked Vultures, This band is a good Alternative Rock/Rock n' Roll band consisting of Josh Homme from Queens Of The Stone Age, Dave Grohl from The Foo Fighters and Nirvana and the Almighty John Paul Jones from Led Zeppelin. (They are also awesome live)

Cheers.

The Hard-Ons. They've been a band longer than I've been alive, but they're still awesome live.

Bluejuice. They're kinda funky pop or something, but they're Australian, are a fun listen and are brilliant live.

Heavy metal is good too. Proper heavy metal I mean. None of this hard rock 70's crap.

techno can be surpisingly good to new comers.

John Butler Trio seem to not be able to not write a hit, i have no idea what genre they are but they're great.

Muse is a fantastic band, they're some sort of rock thats great, they've been around for a few years now but are just being recognised, their new album "The Resistance" is great.

The Temper Trap are kinda similar to Muse but differan, regardless they are great, their hits i can remember are "sweet disposition" "Art vs. science" "Love lost" and another i can't remember

Also if you check out some of Coldplays songs they're quite good, just some weren't put on radio and all.

A very odd band is "The Prodigy" it's "hardstyle" (they wantto sound special) techno but tbh it sounds like a mix of techno and metal.

If you enjoy heavy metal and want something faster, melodic death / groove metal are really worth a try.

Iron Maiden- greatest of all heavy metal bands, heaps of brilliant songs and a lot of their lyrics are very clever- some are based on books or movies eg Back in the Village, The Wicker Man, Rime of the Ancient Mariner

Machinae Supremacy- heavy metal but they have some backing electronica/synth using the sound chips from a Commodore 64, some really awesome songs, a number of them are free to download

alestorm- pirate themed heavy metal- nuff said

Some links to youtube vids of my favourite songs of each genre (genre's are based on what I have them listed as in itunes so if they're not correct im sure you'll get over it Smiley )

Dark Psytrance:

IDM:

(the song by them called "Beware the Friendly Stranger" is the one from salad fingers)

Atmospheric Black Metal:
*

EBM:

*

Industrial:
*

Post-Metal:

* (pretty much anything by them. one of my favourites)

Progressive Death Metal:

Psytrance:
* (another of my favourites so almost anything from them)
(also look for "Masters of the Universe" by them)

Trip-Hop:

* = personal favourite

And that pretty much sums it up. I have left out a lot of Trance/Techno/House stuff because its so hard to classify, as well as a few others that have already been mentioned.
