The only SimCity I've played is the original black and white one.
I get my city-building fix by encouraging super-cities to form on Transport Tycoon.

Yeah it was hard to get going in SC2k, I managed to do it a couple of times but you gotta take a few bonds out and wait for ages until you can pay them off.

I just find that picture funny becauser that roads advisor dude was always so irrationally angry.

Also transport tycoon is one of the best games ever made. I spent way too much time playing that game.

Do you mean the one where you build the tunnel that costs so much it overflows into negatives and gives you heaps of money?

The version I used had patched that out Was lucky too because the first time I was getting close to a billion in the bank I was stressing about it. Was scared that I'd had negative billions in my bank account and I'd lose the game
Luckily it didn't work and I amassed a huge fortune. I think my record is like 200-300 billion? can't remember. My old computer was too slow for the game so a year ended up taking more than 2 hours. Everything moved super slow but I kept at it, I connected pretty much every industry on the map and had some form of passenger/mail service in every town even if they lost money.

I had the original version then I bought the scenario editor/ alien landscape version (which sucked, I don't know why they thought that was a good idea) but didn't get Deluxe until several years later.

TTDPatch fixes a shitload of bugs and adds heaps of awesome features. The normal version is unplayable with out it. OpenTTD is also well worth looking at if you haven't already.
