there are more beers not on there than are on there. Beers are easy, there are only two types, german beers, and shit beers. Granted there is some good shit, but it is generally shit compared to the german brews. Best beer I have ever had is Eidelweiss. If you ever have the opportunity to drink some, do it. Other hefewiezen beers are good, but Eidelweiss is the king. Sadly not exported to Australia last time I checked.  |

i believe you can get it at the Bavarian steak house on the gold coast last time I visited... if its the one i remember it was a fucking awesome wheat beer.. drank a litre of it one night with a couple of litres of Warstiener and one unfriging believable bottle of Schneider Eisbock. which i consider possibly in my top 10 brews.
love all the old Prussic Teutonic and Alsatian biers

As a young man, when I went to live in the USA, I was like many young Australian men, pround of our Australian beers and snug in my ignorance having consumed possibly 10 different australian beers. When I arrived I did an orientation day with many other Aussies my age. I recall them warning us about the beers and how strong they can be, and every guy in the room laughed, having been poured full of bs about how weak and how crap American beers were. Maybe a week later I walked into Fred Myers(like Wallmart) and there was a fridge maybe 20 metres long full of different beers, easily 100 maybe 200 different kinds and alcoholic content up to 15%. Where I lived in Washington state(not the capital, that is Washington city on the other side of the country, who knew?) had a booming microbrewery industry. ANyways, representing Australia was this  I mean really, who even drinks this in Australia? |

My experience in the US was all their commercial beers were like sex on the beach (fucking close to water). Didn't get to try and microbrews though And indeed, everyone I spoke to about it thought that Fosters was what we drank. Its shithouse so we send it overseas and let the dumb foreigners drink it I had a few american friends come over here for a visit a few years ago, gave them a few TED's and it put them to sleep  |

Guinness tastes amazing in ireland, Chang in Thailand, even Bintang tastes great in Indonesia (but i'm never going to buy it here). I've drank my way through Germany buying the local brew from each town that I visited and enjoyed most of it, but I never came back here and thought it's the only beer worth buying.. Australia has some great beers, sadly nothing by Toohey's or much from CUB (fosters) is all that good. My favourite beer is Coopers Pale... I like it so much I'm thinking of moving to Adelaide |
