how fast did you get up to sammy....looks damn fast.

I ride hard and fast on a snowboard, but all I risk is a broken bone or two....looks to me like your hobby is a good way end up as a red smear. I used to work with a bloke who was into bikes, he did a day trip down to Kangaroo Valley, about two hours south of Sydney in the southern hignlands. The road has a lot of twists and turns and is heavily wooded on both sides. Anyway it was a windy day, and a branch shook loose in the wind and fell onto the road, he lost control and broke his neck. Poor bastards wife was riding right behind him and saw it all. Each to his own though.
I completly understand where you are coming from Bageled. Yes it is fast mate..very fast. Most of those corners are 25~35Kph i am coming into to them at around 90~100Kph.
Yes it is a risk, but the rush is worth it.It's like anything in life my friend, there is a risk. I push the envolope,BUT and i say BUT. I do not speed around town.I have ridden these roads 1000's of times.I know my limits and stay at about 95% of my skill level. I have leathers, race boats and a top of the line helmet. No expense spared.
Yes i can come off with out a doubt  Life is life, people in general push boundry's. Ie: I'd be fucked bungy jumping or parachuting! Others thrive on it. By no means do i want to die...fuck that. The adrenalin rush is awesome as you slide into and out of the corners.
Damit, as if i would do 200KPH! For one i am 39 and my balls have dropped. I have nothing to prove. Unlike your young friend who most likely has less than 5 years experience on a motor bike. I have 20+ years experience! You do the math. Where was he doing 200kph ? Experince and skill comes with age....there is no LUCK involved. Your mate was doing what he loved! If it was on a track, shit happens mate.... It's the draw of life

Cheers
Sammy
