After copping months of shit over my car, without anyone actually seeing it...thought i'd silence the critics and post up a vid of it...apart from the revving section, i wasn't flogging it and doing the speed limit...anyhow, enjoy  PDT_Armataz_01_36 and to Damit & Noraa  Tongue

hay chal would you like some hood with those vents???


still cant rev with out hitting the rev limiter.

not a bad 0-100 for a small na tho. just as a suggestion get rid of that hood, put the stock back on. I think it will have more of a sliker, sleeper look to it.

Nahh the hoods fibreglass and worth big bucks...makes my FTO stand out too...unlike most cars i actually need the bonnet pins

LOL...it was revving at 9000rpm when the limiter hit..i.e. full revs baby ohhh yeah.

That 0-100 wasn't flogging it...just wanted to demonstrate the MIVEC as you can see when it hits 4000rpm...look how quick it jumps after that...it'll do 0-100 alot quicker, you can see & hear i went easy on it from 60 upwards

The car has had over 20k worth of work done- Fibreglass bonnet, engine bored out & fully custom made internals - custom made forged pistons etc... The standard pipes run to a wishbone as it leaves the engine which means the air fights itself to escape...so the entire exhaust has been customized to allow better flow, custom made cold air intake - much better than you can buy for these, coilover suspension, big brake kit..and its pretty under the bonnet too - engine sprayed & chrome work etc...

The cars only done 2k since the engine was remade so i'm still taking it easy on her...apart from the rev limiter demo Cheesy

Next is a decent body kit and paint work...tossing up braided leads etc...heard they can really overheat a car...not sure if the cold air intake will help with that or not - advice welcome

20g waAAAAAA, dude you could of spent about 10g on it and it would be aprox x2 faster then it is now and still reliable.

 sorry but i gota take the statement about a not bad run from 0-100 even the 0-60 part, i through the thing was stock + cannon.

lol...the mechanic dropped a washer into the pistons as the car was running...full rebuild with above work done for FREE, except coilovers, bonnet, CAI, mags etc.. they were mine...the rest of the engine work...FREE

The main costs came from the forging...the pistons in this are worth more than those in a dodge viper as an example

And Ice the car does 0-100 in around 6 seconds and has gained 70 odd HP over a standard FTO...so the mods work...theres not much you can do with these unfortunatley...the MIVEC refuses turbo, it kills em cuza the MIVEC, the only option is to swap to an EVO engine and turbo...which i'll think about...would love to know what i could do to the MIVEC engine that hasn't been done for 10g's to get 2x performance though..PM me if you know

As i said above...still taking it easy on it as its only done 2000km on its new engine...needs to go back in for another tune and service...then...its track day with the club  PDT_Armataz_01_36

i didn't know that you had that work done for free but still.

You can still turbo the engine just need to drop the pressure and run lower psi boost.
(again this is assuming again that you have the block apart to replace the pistons. dont have to put in custome made forged pistons and head. Just the over the couter type of stull would reduce the price to add to hte turbo fund)

or get a evo calf cut.

if he prety much re-built the block you should of asked to get a transplant done instead as it could have been + would given better results.

but hay there is always the spray option for that extra boost.

also when i say 10g i mean parts labour not included.

20k on a mivec engine rebuild to make it sound like my cou's two stroke motorbike, money well spent  :laugh: (runs for cover, applies for witness protection)
