I thought DNSing to skip region blocks was legally a gray area. I think it was a parliamentary inquiry that suggested using methods to avoid region blocks because of the ridiculous mark-ups on digitally distribution in Australia.

It would certainly break ToC for any service you sign up to using a foreign DNS, and is probably technically illegal as well.

Saying that, Netflix sounds fucking awesome, and Quickflix here in Australia is shit. It's $25 a month, poor quality, with limited selections.

Until Australia gets a reasonable service at a reasonable price, I for one wouldn't feel bad about DNSing to America so I can watch Netflix.

I prefer to torrent, but for series I really like I'll usually buy the DVD/bluray.

Anything that keeps money out of murdoch's pocket is OK with me. Fuck that greedy old cunt.

my understanding is that something like 80% of bandwidth after  9pm in the U.S. is netflix. My sister recently moved back form the USA and said it was pretty effing awesome      .....on a side note netflix is underlined in red and effing is not
