Hello Salacious Sparrow,
The problem you have encountered is a known issue and we hope to have it fixed soon.
At this point we do not need any more logs about this issue - the fix is already in internal testing and we hope to have it ready to go for Tuesday's patch. What's happening is that random latency spikes are causing packets to arrive out of order, resulting in a disconnection. These latency spikes can be caused by a number of things: -General Internet behaviour - nothing we can do about this one -ISP level packet inspection/traffic shaping/traffic monitoring - basically any system that's causing packets to be delayed, even just a little bit. -Local PC software like firewalls and antivirus applications that watch network activity -Your router may have similar features as well
What you can do as a workaround: -Disable/uninstall firewall/antivirus software - note we do not recommend this as permanent solution, and it's entirely up to you if you want to do this even as a workaround. -Connect directly to the modem, bypassing the router -Contacting your ISP to find out if they're doing any traffic inspection, etc. -Playing through a VPN service has helped some people in some cases.
Otherwise, I do apologize for the frustrations, and we thank you for bearing with us while we get the fix ready.
This ticket is now considered to be closed, however this does not mean that we consider the issue resolved as bugs are tracked in a separate database. You can reply to this mail if you have pertinent information to add and the ticket will be reopened. Thank you for contacting the MechWarrior® Online™ support.
Regards, Reppu Senior GameMaster MechWarrior® Online™
i'm pretty okay with this.
