nah that's pretty normal, basically your load's taste will vary based on your diet. eg if you eat heaps of sugar it will be sweeter, eating lots of lemons could conceivably make your load taste sour.
If you want to thicken your load and increase volume try to eat foods that are high in zinc, don't overdo it however as excessive amounts of zinc can poison you - don't buy a bottle of zinc supplement and down it before a date.
