I don't play, but that doesn't mean I don't understand how important this game is to the community. I bought my first computer a few years ago so I missed growing up with games like Starcraft. I don't play now because of how competitive the community is, it is intimidating.

Don't be silly, spotting intertextual references makes you feel and sound smart when you mention them to your friends, that or it makes you sound like a nob.

Toki - its competitive yes but there is something for people in every league
check out SC2SEA.com... Season 3 SEACL just started but they have a tournament for all ranges
I'm currently in the BSG league - Bronze/Silver/Gold league.. ranked in gold on SEA/NA atm but just moved to the KR server coz SEA is just cheese.  I will write a post in the main SC2 section now how to unlock KR servers.

The new beta updates for HotS is going to change how SC2 will be played. I pre-ordered, looks good. Might try reach plat again rofl.
