wow, looks like Apple is really working into making stuff look more modern.

Seriously though, I cant stand that. the toolbar + start button at the bottom of the screen is just too good. plus, I dont really mind looking through my shit on My Computer; having nothing but apps is just unnecessary and, if anything, going to make a fuckton of app folders on that start place thingy. And where are we gonna put our porn? we have it hidden cleverly for a reason. As visually pleasing as it is, I think its just plain shit.

Im just gonna stay with win7 and wait until the next OS comes out, I did it with XP and I avoided having vista on my own computer.

Get over it! The Os is fucken lame..simple as.. If i want a mac i would have bought one..I certainly do not want a windrows crap OS emulating what apple has....

What makes windows, windows is it's applications, that isn't changing just new application styles can be built with this new os.  The kicker for me is will it enhance my windows experience or detract from it.  To enhance it it would make it easier to launch and get to stuff and present me context sensitive information, which is information that is relevant to me in the current context.

You also understand you can put as many or little of the app tiles on the start screen as you want right?
I understand it is different and looks more orientated towards touch and tablet, but it may be great.

Why cant they develop one OS for tablets and other homo hipster shit and another OS for normal people who are intelligent enough to understand how a computer works and don't need all the stupid swipe/apps/cool graphics stuff. Also does this connection to the cloud that fag talks about mean lots of fun DRM and monitoring?

It's really just Win7 with a fancy start menu from what i can see (we have one installed at work right now and it's not much more than that).

I installed it today on my laptop and it isn't too bad. Getting used to it, but it does feel a little like two distinct systems with the Start screen and metro apps and the Desktop and traditional apps.  Will be interesting to see as more apps and power gets moved into the start screen to see if they can integrate the desktop apps into the Metro ones well enough to make it seem like a single system.

haha - I showed some oldies here too - they wanted to shove the laptop up my arse sideways without lube..... I was tempted to bend over for a sec but then I thought it may hurt....

Also - I want the strip or lights / border lights in the backroom in my office. Reminds me of Star Trek control panels on the Enterprise.
