I wonder why no one invested in making it so you could have a whole town burnt down? Would of been nice seeing that Flame spell torching a few buildings and then walk away and watch back from a distance as it burns to the ground. Oh yeah, burn baby burn it ALL DOWN - FIRE YEAH FIRE FIRE IT UP - FIRE IT UP - burn - BURN. BURN IT ALL..

That was the beginning of the problem... the console players complained it was too complex so bethesda dumbed down the sequels
To clarify; morrowind was targeted for PC and ported to consoles; oblivion and skyrim were targeted for consoles and ported to PC. Not only is there plenty of evidence in game for this (shitty interface, streamlining of skills etc) Todd Howard even said as much in an interview
