Command & Conquer: Generals 2

Quote
In the near future, world leaders are mere seconds from signing a global treaty and bringing an end to war as we know it when a devastating terrorist attack rips through the peace conference, killing all in attendance. In a world left with no politicians, diplomats, or activists, only the Generals remain. It’s up to you to assume their roles, command their forces, and put an end to global terrorism once and for all.

Features:

• All-Out War — Take control of three unique factions, competing for resources, building up your base of operation, and leading massive batteries of tanks, soldiers, and aircraft into battle.

• Uncanny Sense of Realism — Frostbite 2 technology allows for visceral, visually stunning conflict at an epic scale. Incredibly detailed units and environments, dynamic physics, and exhilarating visual effects bring the battle to life in ways never before seen. This is the closest thing to real war without the consequences.

• New Ways to Dominate or Ally with Your Friends — Go beyond classic deathmatch with a selection of new multiplayer game modes, designed with both cooperative and competitive play in mind.

• Thrilling Campaign — Command the war on terror in an electrifying single-player campaign. Experience the dramatic story from multiple perspectives — from heroic General to crazed terrorist — while engaging the enemy in pulse-pounding tactical combat.

• Ever-Evolving Experience — Enhance your game with an expanding array of downloadable content. From maps and units to factions, campaigns, and more, the fight against terrorism is deeper than ever.

2 things which are very good.
It is listed as PC exclusive, using all the DX11 features of Frostbite 2.

It is being made by Victory Games, which is made up of just about everyone who made the original.

In short - a pretty way to build a base, pump out troops and metal machines and rush / kill the other guy or girl. 'yawn'

Sorry I use to be into RTS but after Starcraft and Dune2 and TA I kinda lost interest as they all felt the same.

Frostbite 2 + Generals + Bioware?
This is going to get ridiculously pretty.
And hopefully it won't become another that-which-we-must-not-speak-of that followed C&C3. I hope they de-canonise that piece of trash.

I think I get what you're saying, but maybe this will explain it better......

well dragon age 2 was terrible, mass effect 3 looks like its going to be terrible, and I haven't played a C&C game since the first Red Alert so this doesn't really twirl my tassels

OHFFSMAX dont start that by poking the troll Kiss

But I do agree with Donut likewise, I havent played games like that since they first came out, everything else felt vanilla and a copy of the previous. So what if I can zoom in to see some one getting skull fucked with a bullet, I would still play the game zoomed out, create a giant army, arrange them in the formation of a penis and charge it headfirst into the enemies bunkered fort or backdoor.

So I think  I will pass this one unless something is very unique to the others.

Just the bad ones, which unfortunately seems to be the vast majority these days.

You had me thinking DK of the ole days, when games were hard. I remember I once spent WEEKS on a Space Quest game trying to think of the answer. Now days you can just seem to spam of a shit load of bullets or click everywhere till you hit the solution by fluke Sad

What happened to those good days of ye ole games of adventure ?

well to be fair nowadays its just so easy to get on the internet and look up the solution, that's sort of killed adventure games a bit.
I played through all 3 seasons of the new Sam and Max without looking up solutions although it did take a lot of restraint... I'm glad I didn't though Smiley

I remember getting stuck on Return to Zork at a particular point and never figuring out how to progress past it... until I bought the hint book about 6 months later. (had no internet back in those days)

but yes the old adventure games owned. I recently played through Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, that was really cool Smiley
The Sierra adventure games were a shitload harder/less forgiving than the Lucusarts ones...
