yeah, I know it is probably bs, but I can't see the con. Besides science is only right until it is wrong. The greatest minds in the world used to think the world was flat.

Seen this one before, is neat. but no free energy here is going as fast and accelerating. but it will keep going until bearings increase friction. hence perpetual motion, probably does not defy conservation of energy as magnets (magnetic force) will seek state of equilibrium i.e stuck together this system prevents this state from being reached and resets the cycle. But you can build a magnetic cannon and fire ball bearings all day converting magnetic energy into KE but never use up the magnetic energy avaliable, why do the magnets not become weaker as their energy is converted? Is not an orbit a form of perpetual motion

thanks carples my last few brain cells popped same here. Damn, after a long day I just used al of the brains left in me to read and try to understnad that last sentence. Im no closer to understanding it. not enough brains

I'll try explain my understanding, perpetual motion isn't just something that keeps on going, the laws of thermodynamics don't state that you can't keep something spinning forever but that you cannot have a system which perpetually generates energy in a feedback loop to itself.
The reason why this spins is because energy has been put into the system for it to spin, it will take some time for the system to balance out at some speed, but the it's not a feedback loop because at some point it stops speeding up. At that point, because this is a closed system, it contains all the energy that has been put into it by it's construction and there's no reason why it can't keep spinning because there's no energy leaving it (disregarding the friction on the bearings and probably also on the air which will actually be losing some energy to create heat)
My basic understanding of magnets is that they are some kind of ionised element bunched together and all facing the same way which causes other ionised elements to respond to the imbalance in electrons of both. I should try to find out more, i don't know if that's on the right track. fukkin magnets.
I don't think magnets are infinite energy either, they take a lot of energy to to create and suffer from degradation just like everything else, the release of energy from them might not always be as easy to capture or notice as just making them physically move things around but it'd definitely be there.
