I think Alucard is right. I think consoles are superior for playing when you've got other people in your house. They're great for social gaming, but the control systems are far too cumbersome and inaccurate for proper competitive gameplay.

but if you want to be honest everyone is crippled with same control system with consoles so really what's not competitive about them?

Well it's the lack of accurate control that makes them not good competitively. It seems most of the games have mild autoaim, or everyone just sprays and prays. I personally give a lot more credit to games where winning is more about strategy and teamwork than the dexterity of an individual.

FPS and RTS= Pc FTW
Sport games, figthing games, driving games-= Consoles..
so it really depends on what you play and when.
Also , Kinect is pretty cool although it needs more titles to come out. I Actually like the way MS are integrating their PC and Xbox stuff via Win Media player.. i would say i use my xbox as a media pc more than anything at the moment ,well.. until AFL 2011 comes out this week (sport game hence console).
However, i am thinking i will be upgrading my PC soon judging by the previews for BF3...pure FPS porn...

I mostly play Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising with my friends from high school I just got OF: Red River and its alot more fun 4 player Co-op  (Story had some kick ass Fights) to bad they dont have VS coz i always won when I VSed my friends (3v1 OF:DR) |

Quite frankly, it's alright but it has no real match against the might of the PC. hell, I've got a few games from 2007 on PC that look and play better than games from 2010 on a console.
Quite frankly, I wouldn't mind them as much if they were around but games were ported from PC. How it should be anyway
