maybe this guy should've taken up physics and learnt to do this a lot earlier.

so, basically, it's a magnet that's opposed to another magnet and they both have the same charge towards each other, making one object afloat (in the air) and those things on the side are just there for stability.

that was my first thought, like "if you used it as a bed, and jumped on, wouldn't the bed-magnet keep going due to the other magnet trying to get rid of it?" but then I found out what those things are for.

not really that ingenious, but still a good idea, as long as it doesn't send you flying away on a mini magtrain you're fine

"4 years ago when I graduated as an architect, I realized that all architecture, no matter where you live and what country, is dictated by gravity".

Took him a full architecture degree to realize that...  :/

While I admit it is pretty cool, I'd hate to imagine the cost of even one unit! It makes no logical sense to buy this when you can have a normal table/bed that you can have for a lot cheaper and not have to have annoying cables attached to it, taking up more floor space.

I'd like to see the model once you start adding weight, I'd imagine it'd drastically sink with even small weights on it, because magnetic field strength is inversely proportional to the square of the distance between the magnetic sources.

Cool idea, but not at all practical in terms of design and economics.

Hmm...you know the magnetic bedspread thingo's, that supposedly use magnets to relieve pain etc...I think this bed would blow the pain straight out of your body, thru the wall, across the street and smack the dog across the road fair in the mouth.
