Title: Steam getting Sued by Australia ACCC
Post by: Syklone on 06/09/2014, 06:17 AM
I kinda laughed when I saw the title about AUS ACCC suing something, I am still trying to figure out some days what the fuck the ACCC does except for rattle chains and hollow threats.

http://www.smh.com.au/digital-life/games/accc-sues-us-video-games-giant-valve-20140829-109w0y.html

So in summary, Steam is being sued for not giving refunds as per AUS law. Kinda an odd thought I had as when I clicked on Steam it says I follow their laws and agreed to their terms. I wonder if we could sue Apple for something similar?

Anyway, interesting read and would make for an interesting outcome.

this - it actually cost them nothing as they dont host servers that is all hosted by 3rd party companies - mainly ISP's
