Title: Help me make a ration pack for gamers
Post by: Number One on 24/08/2016, 09:53 PM
Hey guys I want to attempt to make a ration pack ie: like a CR1M  http://www.mreinfo.com/
But I want to do it with a gamers bent, so Noodles and shit with shit that gamers like, so loads of caffeine and sugar.

what I want guys are suggestions for small single serve items that I can cram into a small container, that require nothing but rehydration or hot water or a microwave.

thanks guys hope to hear some suggestions soon.

How about something that will actually work for a weekend of low sleep LANing. High protein, healthier stuff? After driving between Sydney and the QLD border numerous times, I found that high caffeine, high sugar are terrible. By the end of the 10 hour drive you're run down from it. A couple of sandwiches and a coffee milk however and you're ready to drink into the small hours on arrival.

Obviously sandwiches aren't going to work in a LAN bug-out bag.

I'd suggest Carmen's muesli bars, ideally their Protein Bars.
Chuck in some coffee and sugar sachets.
A couple of sugar-free V/Red Bull/Mother/Monster.
Fruit juice (not fruit drink) poppers.
Maybe look into getting some Soylent powder? https://www.soylent.com/
Add some tiny teddy's or a packet of crisps.

If you avoid too much sugar and processed foods you'll feel better for longer, and won't crash and feel like you got gang-banged by everyone at the LAN on Sunday afternoon.

I did some rogaining a couple of months ago, and felt good enough to spend 4 hours drinking after 10 hours of competitive bushwalking on Carmen's muesli bars, water, a couple of apples and a couple of bananas.

I was looking into a few of those options Z00111111 I've found Clif bars, long life sandwiches (healthy, MRE type) and some other items, like Nutella and such.
