Hey guys, just want to get some idea's together for some real world get togethers and social stuff.

I suggest a movies and or dinner and drinks.

I'm a fan of the good old BBQ and drinks at someone's place, as its a relaxed, casual  atmosphere.


A camping trip could also be good

This is probably the most suitable, although it involves someone volunteering to host and clean up the subsequent mess.

If it involves a movie, then a substantial amount of time is taken up with an activity that doesn't involve any talking or socialising (and 9/10 times a lot of people will have already seen it).

Social events;

- paintball
- laser tag
- shooting range
- movies
- BBQ
- camping (Central QLD is great for camping)
- go karts
- online games - Planetside2, Hardline, TF2, L4D, WoW, EVE etc
- LARP
- Pubcrawl
- Casino
- Horse Track
- Boxing (as a Spectator - maybe partake if suicidal)
- Surfing, Kite / Paddle / etc
- Fishing (Anyone have a tinnie or know some good spots? Its social, drinking, BBQ can be involved)
- Chess Club
- Bushwalking in Belanglo State Forest or some other great place
- Archery Range
- Drover / Muster team building Either on horses or quad motorbikes
- Parachuting Day - tandem where we all jump out a plane.
- Counselling Day at a man team building emotion sharing centre where we talk to a therapist in a group about.....
- Join a Union. Try the CFMEU - they are tops right now where I am, lots of love.
- Start a cult.
- Go to the next upcoming LAN as a group.
- Explore our sexuality in a group. Beers / spirits may be required. Anglos chickens cannot be touched ! !

Try the above list for ideas, some may be left field, or far left field in another ball park, but still ideas.

Only problem is that apart from South East Queenslad, members are fairly sparse. There aren't very many of us in Sydney I know.

On a side note ; its a circus.

In Summary;

CMFEU want a 13% pay increase with a 3/1 rosert over the current 4/1 roster.

So Bechtel approved a pay increase of 13% - average joe is on 150k so they say so add 13% and they approved a 3/1 roster but it takes affect much later, not at this point in time and now has to be voted on.

CMFEU are saying this 4/1 roster should change NOW not later as its killing families and suicide is on the rise. (So far 4 FIFO deaths in AUS vs 2500 normal suicides)
Public here think they should shut the fuck up as they signed the agreement ages ago and should suck it up as noone put a gun to their head to work it, and now have a new one to vote on and if they dont like should stop going to the polls and find a new job, this is the third time they are voting, it still wont change as Bechtel keeps putting the same EBA to the table.
CMFEU are having pickets and violent outbursts at anyone trying to go to work.
Examples are smashed car window
my wife got verbally abused
picketlines, on roads trying to blockade, police intervention to move them along.

CMFEU say a 21  day will fix family life. Public opinion is a 13% payrise (More money) and a 21 day roster will not fix family time as you are AWAY 21 days (compared to 28 days - current roster), you will still miss 3 weeks from loved ones, only an 8to5 Mon to Fri job will fix families and relationships and stress.

Politics is being thrown around today, Fair Work has stepped in and is ordering back to work orders.

Its really getting messy.

And funny part is, CMFEU is the only one protesting, all the other unions seem quite happy...... go figure.

Hey guys i will most likely be volunteering my place, but will prolly need a BBQ if thats what we go for but i am half tempted to just do the catering job and get brodies to do a massive spread for us.. as i no longer own a BBQ..

I like drinking.

We could just borrow a shopping trolley, put fire underneath, beast in. Drink until its the best BBQ evar.

Or yeah everybody hates drinking and eating chicken and pizzas.

I know that I, for one, absolutely hate drinking and pizza and chicken. I have witnesses from this clan as to how little I like to drink...

I'm keen for whatever, so long as it involves beer & some form of firearm... whether it be real, paint, or Nerf.
