Update: EA has issued a press release dating the Titanfall beta for February 14. The beta will include three game modes: Attrition, Hardpoint Domination and Last Titan Standing. Attrition is Titanfall's spin on the classic Team Deathmatch mode, Hardpoint Domination is a capture-point objective mode where teams battle over three checkpoints and in Last Titan Standing, all players spawn with a Titan – when all of a team's Titans are destroyed, that team loses.

I like the sound of the Last Titan Standing game mode, sounds like fun.

Yeah, mine spiked up to like 35mb/s too before dropping back down to the normal 3-4mb/s

I'd say the 35 meg spikes are it actually installing on the HDD or something.  I can max out my cable at 14meg a second, thats it.

For some reason my emailed beta code is for the XBone. Seriously WTF? Signed up for the PC via origin. Titanfail.

Just received my key this morning so now have a spare XBone key if anyone wants it.

Downloading at 34.5MB/s according to origin :D

Couple of cmd line you can set in the game properties on Origin to remove the splash screen and set it to play in borderless mode.

-novid -noborder

Also by default it seems to put Textures on High but there is an 'Insane' level you can change it too.  Everything else seems to have High as its best option though.

yeah i noticed that some of the textures look a bit plain... mind you i did not care much since it is a beta. will have a a look when i get home about changing the textures.

The graphics i think arent going to be one of the selling points like we have come to expect from the last few years of FPS shooters.  Its going to come down more to if you enjoy the gameplay or not.

Thats a good thing :) I hate games that sell for how great they look, I prefer the gameplay.

Kinda OP in my book.

Titanfall is a pretty good game. I like the gameplay. Only thing I dislike is Smart Pistols. I think its a stupid design.

I like the Smart Pistol, it's actually very tricky to use well, especially with bad guys running around with shotguns and SMG's that destroy at close range. It kills Bot's easy but other players are a lot harder.
If a player has time to lock on to you with the Smart Pistol for an instant kill, you'd be just as dead if he was using any other weapon.

Do love the game, not sure if I will buy though. It does seem very limiting even with it being a beta - Like something else is missing. Will wait until full release and watching some videos for feedback before I decide.

Yeah. I've already got two games on March. Dark Souls 2 and Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes in March. No point buying three games.

Ozgameshop is offering a email code of 55 dollars for Titanfall. Pretty much is the retail CD key but emailed to you in about 12 hours from order. Very reliable company.

Yeah they are good. I wont be around much for gaming as is, so no real point in getting more to play. I'll stick with flappy bird for now
