http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3167467 It has a local save, almost after every heist it will save automatically. Let me explain it. You start the game and you are rank 15. You complete the level Rats and get up to rank 16. Then you go and complete Watch Dogs and you are now rank 17. The game's "cloud" save still has you at rank 15, but your local save is at rank 17. Your game crashes, at the start screen it asks you if you want to use your backup which is rank 15 cloud save(which is the YES option) OR your local rank 17 save(which is the NO option). When you exit your game it asks you if you want to save to your backup "cloud" save, if you click "Yes" it marks your local save to be uploaded to Steam's cloud save database.
