It looks like I'll be able to make it now.

I reckon just a barbeque at someone's house, and go from there

What about anglo's place? He has a barbeque and nerf guns. Sounds like a winner to me

I'd offer to set something up at my place or on the beach but its like an hour and a half drive for most of you

So we got any plans on this?

Maybe we should just meet up at a pub or something for lunch and a couple of beers?

I've got these two monitors for sandy and anglo so if I gotta go all the way up there I want to make it worth the trip :)

You could always go to the Pig & Whistle @ Indooroopilly Shopping Centre... free parking and west-side, and in a shopping centre so family can run off if they get bored or don't want to sit around.

Keep in mind though that due to holidays, rainy-weather, and the pub being located next to the food court (and thus, below the cinemas) parking in that area might be tricky (as well as the bloody shop reno's going on). So park on the roof!

It might be a tad on the expensive side as far as pubs go, but I can't think of anywhere else more convenient that'll be open all weekend with relatively easy/free parking and aircon, otherwise.

Fez and I are fine, our parents are fine if a bit garage-soggy or property-surrounded-by-water-soggy. Brother's family is out Kenmore/Moggill way and they're dry but powerless (I think the lack of computers/internet is hurting them more than anything else, hahaha!).

+1 to alucard btw for sms'ing to find out if we were okay, appreciated the though mate, *bigheart!*

All I know at the moment: anglo and his place are fine (Forest Lake), but it might be a bit messy front/back (innuendo not intended!); no idea about sandy! (same suburb as anglo!); EMonk's down at the GoldCoast, are you ok? Kesawi pipped in the shoutbox that he had no power but if he's able to complain about it he must be alright more or less, Splints is gonna be a lumberjack and that's okay, he'll game at night and chop all day  :PDT_Armataz_01_14: hope everyone else in a spot to be affected are alright  :-X

I'm pretty fine although my town (Kingscliff) copped a flogging with downed trees, landslides and smashed shopfronts everywhere. There was heaps of that sea foam stuff all over one of the local caravan parks.

My parents weren't so lucky. Had about 3-4 feet of water under the house.
Thankfully they were able to get all the cars etc to high ground but at one point the river was still rising and it was looking like they had nowhere else to take the cars.

It actually got a bit higher than that as the tide came in, but its starting to go down now.

Now they've gotta go around and hose the mud off everything.
