Considering sending out ecards to clients and suppliers.
My good clietns I'm sending gifts, but the little ones that don't warrant a gift, I'm thinking ecard, though is that percieved as cheap?
Previously I've sent nothing. I just designed up some ecards for a client, which gave me the idea.

Honestly, I would say cheap... As a printer I would expect a card that you had printed yourself sent to me?

Agreed, its nice to actually get a card.
ecards are cheap and impersonal and likely to just get lost in spam filters.

i would expect a picture of dex in a santa suit on every ecard/physical card you print and send.

I personally wouldn't send ecards. Either put the effort in and send a proper card or don't bother.

What about a jibjab ecard?

You could put in your face and dex's face with a printer and dance around.

I'd say eCards are a no-no for businesses; think of it as a way to advertise to the client how much you 'care' about them.

Personally dude, take the time to actually write the card :) Calendars maybe? I'm sure you would have some awesome photo's at your disposal.

Ecard better than no card in my opinion, but agree with a lot of people, ecards can be like seen as "whatever". Thoughs jibjab ecards are lots of fun, recommend thoughts over ecard. Jazzycat typed it well; ecards no good for businesses; maybe write a christmas thanks letter and attach some cool death inc pics, both cool and funny.

Yeah, you could certainly sense the rage boiling just under the surface, but Jazzy has come a long way to not vent on the surface.

lol, I just got an ecard from a supplier telling me that their gift to me is a donation to the "Make a wish foundation", and you know what, I don't believe they made a donation and I just thought, what lazy tight arses. It doesn't say how much they donated, and the email didn't come from the make a wish foundation.
In conclusion, you all were right.
