I was first trained in the SLR, then retrained in the Steyr.. I am old! ??? A mate I went to school with has flown the Tiger in test flights and was applying to become Commanding officer in charge of them, not to sure how he went though. He has flown operationally with the Australian and American Armies in Timor, Afghanistan and Iraq. He has some stories to tell. Also had a chat to one of the pilots testing them in Darwin and he was telling me about the crap software and how it took 14 clicks to fire a hellfire and how they lost one on range with no idea on were it landed.
