Title: Re: ssd and os crashing Post by: cowcar on 17/09/2012, 06:44 PM couple of things to check. First, AHCI mode selected for the drive when you installed? (bios setting)
Secodnly, switch off hibernate mode (win7 i pressume) this may be causing the issue and has been linked in the past with OCZ drives to causing problems with the ssd's. Title: Re: ssd and os crashing Post by: Budh on 18/09/2012, 06:06 PM Seriously i give up maybe it will be a better sinker .............. :(
Title: Re: ssd and os crashing Post by: BoHiCa on 18/09/2012, 06:30 PM further to cowcar's post disable all power management, i have not had to run any firmware on any of these drives.
What was the result of the hard drive mode in the bios? Which version windows are u running? Title: Re: ssd and os crashing Post by: Budh on 18/09/2012, 07:14 PM AHCI mode was selected and win 7 , have disabled ssd for now and have gone back to old hdd , no dramas with old 1, only thing new is ssd and 6gbps cable could it be the cable ? only thing i havent tried .And it has the updated firmware that came on it version 2.22 i think
Title: Re: ssd and os crashing Post by: BoHiCa on 18/09/2012, 07:18 PM could be cable, you could try using original cable (the cable you have the current hard drive running), or vice vera. nothing to loose.
Title: Re: ssd and os crashing Post by: Budh on 18/09/2012, 08:40 PM Will try this along with other ports or the same port as other drive has been using...
Title: Re: ssd and os crashing Post by: BoHiCa on 18/09/2012, 08:45 PM positive start, have you checked to see if the motherbaord has, driver update for storage or chipset.
then I would have a look at possible bios, read the readme against bios update to see if they make mention of fixing your issue, if so , worth, while running Title: Re: ssd and os crashing Post by: Budh on 19/09/2012, 05:52 AM Going to try this , have sent an email asking for replacement until i get a reply i will fuck around with it ....
Title: Re: ssd and os crashing Post by: Budh on 19/09/2012, 05:01 PM Ball is rolling on replacement side , they needed the serial number first and now they will advise on returns i also hinted on getting the vertex 4 as replacement i can only hope........
