Death Inc

Hey guys, just getting a rough idea of how many of you are interested in participating in competitive play/tournaments once this game goes live (whenever the fuck that is), and maybe if anyone's interested in leading?

Death Inc's Competitive Team Rules are listed here (http://www.deathinc.com.au/index.php?action=pages;sa=6) but may not apply depending on how many of us there are and to what degree we want to play (casual/hardcore, social/comp, etc) and in what role/capacity.

However, as with any sort of organized sport/raid/etc there'll be some degree of investment of time/research and accountability, in addition to solo/team prac in your assigned/chosen role/s. The Rules we follow may also be dependent on whether those opting to participate in competitive play run as a mercenary mech-corp/guns-for-hire (suggested name: "Drop Bears") or align with a House in-game which may have a different set of rules.

As for faction allegiance there's currently some interest in House Liao, but again absolutely NOTHING is decided yet.

Just throwing this up to get an idea and get y'all thinking! May even be too early to tell  :D
Any thoughts/comments/suggestions welcome.


And keep an eye out for any skilled solo players out there!

i have to say until there is some firmer info on how things ingame are going to operate I cant say how much investment i will be able to put in.. I definitely will be up for organised matches WHEN i am able to commit, but as for a regular every week affair I cant see myself being able to promise a regular availability, but i do support anyone who is up for this and will give as much as i can.

The competitive rules will still apply that Jaz has listed...cuz all they ask is that you post if you're IN for the war..or if you're OUT for the war..but you have to post one of those 2 things, not a huge ask, but your team will need to know if they have enough people for the night or if they need to call reserves in (people who own the game but aren't on the team as such)

the squad limitations atm are killing this for me.. i hate playing with pugs.. they absolutely ruin the game.

I'm hearing you Anglo but its still pretty good to drop with 3 or 4. Stick with it mate before you know we will have 12 v 12

Before 3 months ago, I hadn't even heard of Mech Warrior (blimmin Newb I am), even with big drop out bugs, teams of 2 to 4, playing with bad pugs, and more ( I understand people's frustration). I still think It's worth it, so good playing a team game with huge Mech's, lasers, config, and I haven't paid a cent (yet). Come on join up

If they get a ladder together for MWO I will definitely be into representing DI.

I keep the game up-to-date. If you look at the date on the original post, back then was when I used to play it for several hours every night, and was a regular Jenner-scout for the drop-team.

Anglo... that's only if 1) we/I stay logged into TS by 'accident' and 2) we start rabbitin' in the computer room. So far you and Alucard have only heard us laughing ourselves silly when we were watching YouTube out-takes of Big Bang Theory :P
