ok so MWO goes live soon, what i propose is that if anyone who is intending to play MWO with us tune into TS. this sunday night so we can have a chat, figure out what we as a group want to get out of MWO and how we want to approach it as a group.

Sunday 5th August - 7.30pm/1930hrs EST on TS for anyone wanting to play or be in on the action

Will link to calendar and good idea...with the clan function, should be fun and a bit of organizing cant hurt so that we rollin as a group...and smash shit :)

free to play, pay to win, there are pre-launch deals for 40-60-120 but i suggest you visit their webpage.

$60 pack is what I'll go for..and the biggest mech they have for founder :)

I am pretty darn excited for this. There is actually a mech called "JagerMech." It is my perfect machine, covered in autocannons.

I must drink Jagerbombs in my Jagermech.

Hmm to get the catapult or atlas with the $60 deal.. I'm pretty sure everyone will get atlas, but it could just own everything

Atlas..FTW, I've played against both and the atlas just makes you cry when you see it....

does the cata do good dmg though?

Not too bad, mainly used as missile platform...cant hold the same kind of weapons as the Atlas thouhg which just plain fruck shit up..and those large pods on the Cat get knocked off easy as theyre such tempting targets :)

Im in, and as for the cat yep normally a missile boat altho there are different types that can hurt at long and close range normally packing twin ER PPCs.

reading beta forums and stuff allot of people say there are other assault mechs allot better then the atlas so still might go cata >_O decisions decisions lol how is the beta though? everyone enjoying the game?

When I get in I think I'll be wanting a Catapult or Atlas until they add my beloved MadCat...

hey how are battles setup? is there like a required amount of assault, scout, medium mechs required? or can it be like a team full of atlas vs a team full of catapults, depending on requirements i might not get the atlas since i'm sure we'd need other roles

It doesn't seem like there is a balance yet. I have played a few times where my team had 4 Jenna's VS a team of Atlas's

basically yes. but to get in game you have to buy foundsers and choose your Founders mech BEFORE you get to play..

ok well we had a few turn up, it's a start, i think if we do this like once a month it would be good.
i think some of the things born out of the discussion, is we need to know more about the BT universe, whats going to happen with clans,factions,merc' units and so on.  a couple of basic strategies seem to be coming around.  items of note include: wing man(everyone needs one.)
 not bunching up. concentrating fire. recon of enemy forces, and communication.

it reminds me some what of the old PR days... very tactical.

Chalice gets a black mark for not showing 2 more and hes out :P

Summary

Damit wants an atlas with heaps of LRM's, i tried a jenner with an SRM6.

An awesome with 7 medium lasers is heaps of fun.

i managed to make it last night to. Had a blast. I stripped a Catapult down and slapped in twin Gauss Rifles. Was a win for me as I score some good hits and did take out a mech (Yay for me)

I tried doing some pubbing this morning, its fucking retarded as the games i had everyone went solo or awol and fucking left you to die in a hole :( So a lance mate is needed for sure with some tactics.
