Title: Need a SCSI driver Post by: Syklone on 21/07/2012, 08:07 PM Anyone able to help me obtain a scsi raid driver please ?
Am running up a system and have ended up short a driver. The raid controller works fine and I have created 2 x mirrors, (1 500GB and 1 160GB mirror) but oncethe OS loads and has no clue on the driver :( Win7 64. The hardware IDs for the Mainboard NCLVD2SATA are; PCI\VEN_11AB&DEV_6041&SUBSYS_81501043&REV_07 PCI\VEN_11AB&DEV_6041&SUBSYS_81501043 PCI\VEN_11AB&DEV_6041&CC_010000 PCI\VEN_11AB&DEV_6041&CC_0100 I went to the ASUS website and the have raid drivers but they are an EXE and you need to create it to a FDD - something I do not have anymore. So I hope some one either; a) has the driveralready on CD and cold dropbox / zip it to me b) is able to do it to a FDD then from the FDD zip it and dropbox it to me c) profit and ransom it to me some other way :) regards Title: Re: Need a SCSI driver Post by: Alucard on 22/07/2012, 01:06 AM why not use a usb stick for this i am pretty sure that it would work the same or even better
Title: Re: Need a SCSI driver Post by: BoHiCa on 22/07/2012, 01:46 AM if its windows 7 like alucard said, you can extract the drivers onto usb or cd or dvd, and it will load them
Title: Re: Need a SCSI driver Post by: Syklone on 22/07/2012, 05:45 AM Nope. I tried that first. The exe only goes to a and when I try USB. It says it doesn't support or recognize the drive and drive letter. It's really old

I found a FDD but didnt have any disks. Will try to do that way later tonight when the kids are asleep. http://sourceforge.net/projects/vfd/ Title: Re: Need a SCSI driver Post by: BoHiCa on 23/07/2012, 02:54 PM Ladies & Gentleman what boy wonder has forgotten (syklone) is there is NO native support for this motherboard under windows 7 hence, the drivers wont work.

Title: Re: Need a SCSI driver Post by: Alucard on 23/07/2012, 03:46 PM why not run win server 2008 (or 2003 as supported) at least then you would have os that uses server HW and would be more compatible with the drivers
Title: Re: Need a SCSI driver Post by: BoHiCa on 23/07/2012, 04:42 PM why not run win server 2008 (or 2003 as supported) at least then you would have os that uses server HW and would be more compatible with the drivers You do mean, you cant even run windows 2008, you are best running 2003 server.... As if it had windows 2008 drivers you could use them to run windows 7... I have even looked at adaptec directly for their embedded drivers, and it looks like you are shit out of luck, boy wonder Title: Re: Need a SCSI driver Post by: Syklone on 23/07/2012, 07:45 PM Yerp. I was in a hurry and threw win7 on just to see if the hardware works. Overall it's not to bad and no issues found. Was hoping some driver existed. For now the win 7 OS is going to be killed and will find a few server is now.
It did have win 2011 home server on it but the license was fubar and the raid was a very tiny stripe. So from the two OS I feel food the hardware isn't a dud yet. Title: Re: Need a SCSI driver Post by: Syklone on 23/07/2012, 07:46 PM Fucking iPhone autocorrect
