Title: Minecraft for kids?!
Post by: -NeOpHyTe- on 12/07/2012, 01:28 PM
well after much deliberation i just brought my 8 year old boy Minecraft - he seems to be hooked on it for some reason  ;)

anyways my question is directed to the guys who have been playing and of course the ones with young kids

i got no fucken idea about this game at all and when i got him onto a server the other day (freeworld) some pretty sick shit came up on screen
lucky for me he cannot read that quick yet

Do you have to sign up to young people servers?

Are there servers that kick people if they swear etc?

or kick if he starts griefing?

Which servers in australia have admins on?

etc etc

no sick shit either ya daft cutns keep it above board  :PDT_Armataz_01_40:

cheers in advance!

The Forge has just got their server up, and the previous incarnation of them was strict about griefing and swearing. That could be one of your best bets. We've got a few guys that play on there.

yep my 5 yaer old plays on the forge server, i do like always keep a close eye on him though. but an eight year old should be more than fine on a server like the forge.  http://the-forge.com.au/ i recommend it, several DI players are online most days.
