Title: Irish Stick Fighting Post by: bageled on 06/05/2012, 09:05 AM Had a play with a shillelagh(irish fighting stick) a few weeks ago and looked it up online and came across this guy, Glen Doyle.
Story goes that the Doyle clan handed down a stick fighting style from father to son for 400 years, and this guy Glen has started teaching it to the public. He is a kung fu instructor as well which has influenced the style a bit. There are a few other irish stick fighting styles on the net, but I like this one with the two handed grip and the step forward, it goes well with what I've been taught in krav. The other styles seem more interested in fencing than finishing.
